What Flowers Should You Give for a New Baby? A Useful Guide

¿Qué flores regalar por un nacimiento? Guía para acertar - Persa Flores

To celebrate a new baby, choose flowers around the parents' taste, their available space and the right delivery moment. Pink is not required for a girl and blue is not required for a boy. White, green, soft or multicoloured flowers can be equally appropriate. If the family is still in hospital, confirm that the ward permits bouquets; otherwise, send them to the home.

The aim is to congratulate without creating more work. A manageable bouquet, a clear card and coordinated timing are usually more helpful than an enormous arrangement. Compare the current new baby flowers and gifts.

Is it better to deliver to the hospital or the home?

Home is often the easier choice. Hospital restrictions can differ by ward, and a family preparing for discharge already has bags, documents and baby supplies to carry. At home, the parents can receive flowers when they have space and somebody available to help.

For a hospital delivery, contact the exact ward first, confirm the registered patient's full name and ask where the courier may leave the order. Do not schedule solely around an expected birth date because plans change. For a home order, check the date offered for the address during checkout.

Which colours are appropriate for a new baby?

There is no mandatory palette. White and green can feel light and calm; soft pink works when you know the parents enjoy it; a bright mixture suits a family that loves colour. Look at their home, clothing and nursery or remember preferences they have already shared.

Family style Colour direction What to avoid
Minimal Whites and greens An oversized arrangement
Romantic Pink and soft tones Choosing from stereotypes alone
Cheerful Multicoloured mixture An ambiguous card
Taste is unknown Balanced, light palette Intense personal symbolism

Which bouquet suits a family that prefers soft colours?

The Andrea bouquet combines lisianthus, alstroemeria, carnations, lentisco and limonium. Its textures and soft colours give it a relaxed, garden-inspired appearance. The product composition may vary seasonally, so choose it when the overall style matters more than one exact flower.

The White Marble bouquet combines white roses, daisies, baby's breath, eucalyptus and greenery. Its light palette avoids gender coding and can suit a neutral home. Review the available size and consider whether the recipient has enough room for it.

Which bouquet adds a little more colour?

The Serenidad bouquet combines white lilies, pink alstroemeria, white gerberas, baby's breath and eucalyptus. It works when you know the family likes pink tones and mixed arrangements. Because it contains lilies, consider fragrance preferences and pets before choosing it.

A colourful gift is not less elegant, and white flowers are not automatically the right answer. If you are uncertain, ask somebody close to the parents or select a balanced arrangement with a specific, thoughtful card.

What should the card say?

Name the family and celebrate without offering unsolicited advice. “Congratulations on Leo's arrival. Sending love to all of you” is enough. If you know the baby's name, check the spelling. Avoid comments about the birth, the parent's body, sleep or how they should raise the child.

For colleagues or acquaintances, “Congratulations to the whole family on this new chapter” keeps the tone warm and appropriate. Sign with names the recipients will recognise, especially for a group order.

How can you make the gift genuinely practical?

Choose a size that is easy to move, do not depend on one exact flower when the arrangement is seasonal, and coordinate delivery with somebody who can answer the door. Ask whether there are cats or other pets in the home: some flowers, including lilies, can be dangerous to them. If you cannot confirm, ask before ordering or seek help choosing.

Review live availability and the date offered for the address. Persa Flores delivers within mainland Spain, but the product, destination and selected day determine the options for an individual order.

At the 7 September check, White Marble was available only in Large. If space is limited, ask for dimensions before choosing it. Andrea offers a different composition, but its name or photograph does not prove that it is compact either. An available variant is not the same as a verified fit for the home.

Sources and method

This guide separates the purpose of the gift from traditional colour codes and focuses on the family's real logistics after a birth. Products and public availability were checked on 7 September 2026; unavailable new-baby bundles were excluded. Hospital advice follows a cautious rule: always confirm the ward policy before sending.
